Priority 2

Use Our Own Money First

Stop borrowing to pay for daily needs

The Problem

Tamil Nadu has a 'Revenue Deficit' of ₹69,219 crore. This means the government spends more on daily costs (salaries, pensions, bills) than it earns. It's like borrowing money just to buy groceries.

🔥 Why Now?

If we borrow to build a bridge, it's an investment. But if we borrow to pay for petrol and food, we are digging a deeper hole every single day.

🛑 What if we don't?

If this continues, more and more of our tax money will go only to paying interest, and there will be zero money left to build new colleges or parks.

The Plan

  • 1Improve GST collection by using computers to find shops that don't pay tax.
  • 2Stop giving money to loss-making government companies that don't improve.
  • 3Only give subsidies to people who truly need them, not to everyone.
  • 4Audit and close government departments that are no longer useful.

🌍 World Example

Gujarat, India

"By keeping their debt low (~18% of GSDP) and focusing on earning more, Gujarat has more money available to spend on mega-projects and industries."

Success Looks Like

When the government announces that it has 'Zero Revenue Deficit' — meaning we pay our own daily bills.
