Making TANGEDCO strong again

The Problem

Tamil Nadu's electricity company (TANGEDCO) has lost more money than any other electricity company in all of India — ₹1.67 lakh crore in total. Every year, the government borrows money just to keep the lights on.

🔥 Why Now?

Every year we wait, the debt grows by ₹15,000 crore. This is money that could have built 14,000 new schools every single year.

🛑 What if we don't?

If we don't fix this, electricity bills will keep rising, and industries will leave Tamil Nadu for other states, taking jobs with them.

The Plan

  • 1Bring in private companies to generate clean wind and solar power.
  • 2Install smart meters for big shops and factories to stop power theft.
  • 3Separate the company into three smaller, accountable parts: Making, Moving, and Selling power.
  • 4Keep 100 units free for homes, but pay for it directly from the government budget.
